Effective for Summer/Fall 2025 applications and beyond, UT Austin requires first‑year applicants to submit SAT or ACT scores—sent directly from the testing agencies using SAT code 6882 or ACT code 4240—as part of their undergraduate admission application; essay and writing sections are not required. Scores were optional only for Spring 2025 due to the pandemic but are now mandatory for admission consideration.
