01 /What the course covers

Built around the real Digital SAT blueprint

The Digital SAT has two sections, Reading and Writing and Math, and each is split into two adaptive modules. College Board publishes which content domains each section tests and roughly how many questions come from each one.

SAT Sphere's curriculum follows that blueprint closely, so the time you invest goes to the topics that carry the most points, not to material that never appears on the test.

  • Every content domain of both sections is covered by at least one module
  • Lessons use the short-passage and Desmos-friendly formats of the Bluebook app
  • Practice questions range from easy to the hardest second-module level
  • Suitable whether you are starting from scratch or aiming for 1500+

Math

44 questions · 70 min · 2 modules

The Math section mixes multiple-choice and student-produced response questions across algebra, advanced math, data analysis and geometry. The Desmos graphing calculator is available for every question, and roughly 30% of questions are set in a real-world context.

Approximate share of questions by content domain

  • Algebra35%
  • Advanced Math35%
  • Problem-Solving and Data Analysis15%
  • Geometry and Trigonometry15%

Reading and Writing

54 questions · 64 min · 2 modules

Reading and Writing uses short passages of 25–150 words, each followed by a single question. You are tested on reading critically, using evidence, vocabulary in context, revising text for clarity and applying Standard English conventions such as punctuation and agreement.

Approximate share of questions by content domain

  • Craft and Structure28%
  • Information and Ideas26%
  • Standard English Conventions26%
  • Expression of Ideas20%

03 /How a lesson works

Every lesson: learn, practice, reinforce

Every lesson in the course follows the same three-step rhythm. It is short enough to finish in one sitting and structured so that what you learn today is still there on test day.

Why short lessons?

Research on learning consistently shows that short, spaced sessions beat long cramming sessions. Lessons are sized so you can study a little most days.
  1. 01 /

Learn one skill at a time

Short, illustrated slides explain a single concept with worked examples and the strategy that saves time on test day. The slides take about 10 minutes, so a lesson fits easily into a school evening.

  2. 02 /

    Practice with SAT-style questions

Every lesson is followed by questions written in the Digital SAT format. You get instant feedback and a step-by-step explanation, so a wrong answer becomes something you learn from rather than a guess you forget.

  3. 03 /

    Reinforce what you learned

Key words, rules and formulas go into flashcard decks. Rate each card as you review it, and the ones you find difficult come back in later sessions until they stick. Progress is tracked per module, so you always know what to revisit.

05 /Flashcards and vocabulary

Remember more with flashcards and a SAT dictionary

Strong vocabulary and quick recall of rules and formulas are worth points in both sections. Alongside the lessons, the course gives you tools that make reviewing quick. Try them below.

SAT flashcards you can rate

6,900+ cards cover high-frequency SAT words, grammar rules and math formulas. Rate each card from difficult to easy, and the cards you struggle with come back in later sessions while the ones you know drop out.

What does cogent mean?

Cogent refers to an argument that is not only clear, logical, and very convincing but also well-structured and easy to follow. It is often used in formal debates or persuasive writing where reasoning needs to be compelling, leaving little room for doubt.

08 /FAQ

Questions about the SAT course

Straight answers to what students and parents ask most before starting: what the course includes, what is free, how long it takes and how the lessons work. If your question is not here, the full FAQ covers accounts, plans and the Digital SAT itself.

What is included in the SAT Sphere Digital SAT course?

The course has 8 modules with 75 lessons covering every content domain of the Reading and Writing and Math sections. Each lesson combines interactive slides with SAT-style practice questions and explanations, and the course is supported by flashcards, a SAT dictionary, a personal study planner and timed practice tests.

Can I take the SAT course for free?

Yes, partly. The free plan gives you full access to one course module and introductory SAT materials, and two complete example lessons are open without an account. Premium plans unlock every module, the full question bank and the extra study tools.

How long does it take to complete the course?

Working through every lesson and its practice questions takes about 38 hours. Most students spread that over 8 to 12 weeks with 30 to 60 minutes of study several times a week; the study planner compresses or stretches the schedule to match your test date.

Do I have to follow the modules in order?

No. The recommended order builds skills step by step, but every module stands on its own. If a diagnostic or practice test shows a weak area, you can jump straight to the module that covers it.

Is the course up to date with the Digital SAT?

Yes. The course is written for the Digital SAT taken in the Bluebook app: short Reading and Writing passages with one question each, Math questions designed for the built-in Desmos calculator and adaptive two-module sections.

What language are the lessons in?

Lessons and practice questions are in English, the language of the test, so you practice with exactly the wording you will see on test day. The SAT Sphere website and its public study resources are available in several languages.
