How the SAT works anywhere in the world

The Digital SAT is the same test in every country: two sections, four timed modules and a score between 400 and 1600, taken in College Board's Bluebook app at an official test center. What changes from city to city is which centers are open and how quickly seats fill up.

Register with College Board

Create a free College Board account, choose a test date and pay the registration fee online. Outside the United States an additional regional fee applies.

Pick a test center

Test centers are usually high schools or international schools. Seats are limited, so search and book as soon as registration opens for your date.

Choose a test date

The SAT is offered several times a year. Leave room for a second attempt before your application deadlines, since most students take it twice.

Prepare your device

Bring a laptop or tablet with the Bluebook app installed and charged. If you do not have a suitable device, you can request to borrow one.
