Founded in 1865 as the College of the Bible emerging from Bacon College, LTS offers M.Div., MTS, MPS, and D.Min degrees, as well as continuing education certificates. Accredited by the Association of Theological Schools, the seminary serves an ecumenical student body from multiple denominations, combining online coursework with 10‑day intensives and contextual ministry placements. Its academic programs focus on rigorous scholarship, vocational formation, and inter‑denominational dialogue.

LTS does not consider SAT or ACT scores for admission. Credit‑program applicants submit an online application, a $65 fee, official transcripts, two recommendation letters, and a personal essay. Admission is rolling and based on academic preparation and vocational fit; noncredit programs require a short application form.
