SAT Scores are optional
This university has a test-optional policy.
HCC maintains open‑door admissions: applicants with a high school diploma or GED are admitted without SAT, ACT, GPA, or class‑rank requirements . Degree‑seeking students must complete the Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA2) for placement unless exempt by qualifying SAT/ACT scores, prior college coursework, or other state‑defined waivers; submitted scores only waive TSI components and do not affect admission. International applicants follow the same admissions process with English proficiency validation.
Note: Some programs or scholarships may still recommend or require SAT scores. Always verify the latest admission criteria on the official university website.
