Founded in 1997 by the F. W. Olin Foundation, Olin College offers undergraduate programs in electrical, mechanical, and general engineering with an emphasis on collaborative, hands-on projects. The suburban campus at 1000 Olin Way occupies 70 acres adjacent to Babson College and features state-of-the-art facilities including design studios and machine shops. The college provides partial tuition scholarships to all students through the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering Scholarship, supported by a $487 million endowment. With a 19% acceptance rate and small class sizes, Olin is highly selective and prioritizes innovation and entrepreneurship in its curriculum.

Olin College remains test-optional through the 2025‑2026 admission cycle, allowing U.S. applicants to choose whether to submit SAT or ACT scores without penalty; scores are superscored and considered if provided. However, applicants from high schools outside the U.S. are required to submit official standardized test scores directly from testing agencies or on transcripts.
