Established in 1965 on a 185‑acre site adjacent to Daytona Beach International Airport, the Daytona Beach campus of Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University enrolls approximately 7,600 students in associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs across arts and sciences, aviation, business, and engineering. Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), ERAU is recognized globally for its research and training facilities, including flight simulators, wind tunnels, and a dedicated research park. Known as “The Harvard of the Skies,” the university maintains strong partnerships with industry and government agencies, particularly NASA and the Department of Defense, supporting cutting‑edge research in aerospace safety and innovation.
