SAT University Admissions Guide

Established in 1917 as the Institute for Christian Studies and later operating as AGST, the seminary offered Master’s degrees in Christian Ministry and other theological studies. On January 1, 2021, AGST merged with Lipscomb University to become Lipscomb University Austin Center, expanding its graduate offerings. Located at 7640 Guadalupe Street, the institution maintained accreditation from SACSCOC until its closure at the end of the Spring 2023 semester due to operational challenges.

As a graduate-level theological seminary, AGST did not require or consider SAT scores for admission, focusing instead on undergraduate transcripts, letters of recommendation, statements of purpose, and GRE scores where applicable. International applicants submitted TOEFL/IELTS for English proficiency. Following the merger with Lipscomb University in 2021, AGST ceased independent admissions and closed in 2023.
