To be admitted to York Technical College, applicants must satisfy one of the following: a high school GPA of 2.7 or higher; submission of qualifying SAT (EBRW 480, Math 570) or ACT (English 21, Math 23) scores from the past five years; completion of GED with minimum scores (Language Arts 165, Math 165); or completion of EdReady placement assessments. Students with a GPA of 2.7 or above are exempt from placement testing, while those below must choose an alternative criterion. Transfer students with college‑level English and math credits are not required to submit test scores or take placement tests.
