The university enrolls 15,327 students (Fall 2023) across its Volker and Health Sciences District campuses, offering over 125 degree programs through 11 academic units including the Conservatory of Music and Dance and the Henry W. Bloch School of Management . Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and active in multiple academic consortia, UMKC emphasizes urban engagement and global partnerships . SAT Scores are required for some programs
This university requires SAT Scores for some programs.
Under UMKC’s test-optional policy, applicants with a University of Missouri System core GPA of 2.75 or higher may apply without submitting an ACT or SAT score, except for certain programs (six‑year Law Scholars, BA/MD, School of Nursing direct admit) and student categories (homeschool, student-athletes) that require test scores. Applicants not meeting core GPA or curriculum requirements may be conditionally admitted into support programs. Submitted test scores may strengthen scholarship eligibility and course placement .
