The University of Bahri was established in 2011, incorporating a number of older, specialized colleges such as the College of Veterinary Medicine. It aims to focus on applied sciences and community-oriented programs. Like all other universities in the capital region, its campuses and activities have been suspended due to the conflict that began in 2023.
