Founded in 1819 as the American Literary, Scientific and Military Academy by Captain Alden Partridge, Norwich University enrolls over 3,200 students (approximately 2,600 undergraduates and 600 graduates) across its rural Northfield campus and robust online programs. Accredited by NECHE and recognized by the U.S. Department of Defense, Norwich offers liberal arts, engineering, architecture, and cybersecurity degrees with a strong emphasis on leadership, service, and experiential learning. The Corps of Cadets forms the cornerstone of its military tradition, while civilian students engage in NCAA Division III athletics as the Cadets.
