SAT Scores are optional
This university has a test-optional policy.
NCTC employs an open‑door admissions policy: applicants with a high school diploma or GED are admitted without SAT/ACT requirements, though degree‑seeking students must complete the Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA2) for placement. SAT or ACT subscores may be submitted to exempt TSI components (SAT EBRW ≥ 480; Math ≥ 530), but test scores are used solely for placement and do not affect admission decisions. Certificate-seeking students bypass TSI requirements, and international applicants adhere to the same admissions framework with additional English proficiency documentation. Advisors assist students in course selection and enrollment based on placement or exemptions.
Note: Some programs or scholarships may still recommend or require SAT scores. Always verify the latest admission criteria on the official university website.
