Established in 1964 by the Louisiana State Legislature, LSU Eunice provides associate degrees, technical diplomas, and workforce development courses on a 196‑acre rural campus in southwestern Louisiana. As the only junior college affiliated with the LSU System, LSUE enrolls over 4,000 full‑ and part‑time students and boasts the highest transfer rates among two‑year institutions in the state. Academic offerings include programs in allied health, arts and sciences, business, and technical disciplines, supported by small class sizes and personalized student services. The college’s purple and gold colors and its location southwest of Eunice along Louisiana Highway 755 underscore its rugged, community‑oriented identity.
