Established in 1918 as the Church of God Bible Training School, Lee University evolved into Lee College in 1948 and attained university status in 1997. The institution enrolls approximately 3,680 students and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Lee offers more than 100 degree programs across arts and sciences, education, business, nursing, and music, and is known for its Global Perspectives study abroad requirement and strong performing arts tradition. The suburban campus on 120 acres includes facilities like the Pangle Hall event center and a planned School of Engineering building for 2025.

Lee University recommends submission of SAT or ACT scores for first-time, first-year applicants under age 25; applicants 25 or older or those with 16 or more college credit hours are exempt. Scores are used for placement and advising but are not required for admission.
