Indiana University has adopted a test-optional admissions policy, allowing applicants to decide whether to submit SAT or ACT scores as part of their application review. Regardless of score submission, IU evaluates candidates holistically based on high school academic performance, essays, extracurricular activities, and other achievements. Transfer applicants are not required to submit test scores but may submit them if they wish. Official scores must be provided for verification if self-reported during the application process.
