College of the Arts (COTA) is a public institution in Namibia dedicated to creative disciplines that integrate studio practice, performance, and cultural studies. The college offers studios, rehearsal rooms, media labs, and libraries that support making, experimentation, and critique.

Admission to COTA is based on a Grade 10 or 12 certificate and often requires an audition or portfolio submission to assess artistic talent and potential. The admission process focuses on evaluating creative abilities rather than standardized test scores.

No, the SAT is not applicable to the College of the Arts admission process. Entry is determined by academic credentials and demonstrated artistic talent through audition or portfolio submission.

The campus features studios, performance spaces, and media labs configured for making, recording, and critique. Libraries provide reference collections, viewing rooms, and digital repositories, while student groups organize concerts, screenings, and community projects.

Research at COTA encompasses design and media, performance practice, community arts, cultural heritage, and creative entrepreneurship. Graduate and advanced learners engage in practice-led research, documentation, and curation that translate ideas into public work.

The urban setting provides venues, festivals, and partnerships for exhibitions and performances. Students value collaborative spaces, student ensembles, industry talks, and a supportive, inclusive creative culture that values expression and community engagement.

COTA provides portfolio development and showcases, workshops in digital and craft skills, career talks, and industry networking opportunities. Students are encouraged to connect artistic work with audiences, communities, and professional opportunities through advising and peer review.
