Established in 1947 as Baltimore Junior College, BCCC enrolls about 5,000 students across its main campus and extension centers. Accredited by MSCHE, the college offers associate degrees, certificates, and workforce training programs in fields such as healthcare, technology, and business. As the only state-sponsored community college in the city, BCCC partners with local industries and high schools to deliver dual-enrollment, continuing education, and transfer pathways to four-year institutions. Signature programs include the Mayor’s Scholars tuition-free initiative for Baltimore City high school seniors.
