SAT University Admissions Guide
Also known as: American Institute of Business
Private Nonprofit school in Des Moines, Iowa, United States of America
Founded in 1921 as the American Institute of Business, AIB College of Business operated for 95 years in Des Moines, Iowa, offering bachelor’s degrees in business and related fields. Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, the college occupied a 17‑acre urban campus at 2500 Fleur Drive and competed in NAIA athletics as the Eagles. Facing declining enrollment and financial challenges, AIB ceased operations on June 30, 2016, and gifted its property to the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, which later sold the campus and established a scholarship fund with the proceeds. The closure marked the end of an institution that had served nearly 1,000 day, evening, and online students annually.
