You can report SAT cheating or security violations through three channels: an online form at the College Board's official website, via email to [email protected], or by phone at 800-257-5123 (U.S.) or 609-406-5430 (international). For immediate concerns on test day, calling is recommended.
Yes, you have the option to remain anonymous when reporting SAT cheating or security violations. All reports submitted through the College Board's reporting channels are handled confidentially, whether you provide your identifying information or choose to submit anonymously.
When submitting a report, you should include the date and location of the incident, a description of the suspicious behavior, names or identifying information of any individuals involved if known, and any supporting evidence or observations. Providing as much detail as possible helps the investigation.
After receiving a report, the College Board's Test Security team launches an investigation that may include reviewing test center records and seating charts, analyzing answer patterns for irregularities, interviewing proctors and test-takers, and examining any submitted evidence.
If an investigation confirms a violation, the College Board may cancel scores, issue bans from future testing, and notify relevant institutions such as high schools and prospective colleges about the violation.
